The Highered Global Talent Summit kicked off May 8 in Shanghai, China. Over 150 career service and HR professionals from organizations in China were in attendance.

The day began with a campus visit to China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), where career service professionals took part in a campus tour followed by a session to discuss and exchange best practices between mainland China and schools abroad.

Attendees were able to learn cross-cultural strategies for successful cooperation through a one-hour workshop facilitated by Emma Hallstrøm, Senior Strategic Advisor for Highered China.

The Summit attendees later gathered for the official address by summit co-chairs Amber Wigmore Alvarez, CIO of Highered, Angela Xu, Chief Culture Officer and EVP HR EF China, and Perrine Van Iseghem, International Corporate Relations Coordinator at IESEG. Attendees were encouraged to make the most of this unique Summit through thoughtful discussions and insightful workshops to come in the following two days.

The day closed with a lively networking dinner where attendees were able to connect, discuss, and plan for the next day of the Summit.

The Highered Global Talent Summit was a landmark event, as for the first time school career services and corporate representatives gathered together to discuss and strategize recruitment initiatives for success in talent management. We see the value that we are creating and we look forward to welcoming more guests at our next Summit in Paris in October 2019.
