Employer branding has become an essential part of attracting young talent to companies. In today’s world, where job seekers have access to a wealth of information about potential employers, it’s crucial for companies to create a positive image that resonates with their target audience.

Recently, our Highered France team hosted our second edition of The Great Afterwork, focusing on the topic of employer branding. The event was a great success, with a lively atmosphere, engaging presentations and a networking event to connect talent, recruiters and career services.

One of the highlights of the evening was Kamel Medjabra’s super interactive quiz from Decathlon, which challenged attendees on their knowledge of employer branding. Congratulations to the top three winners, Jeremy Gonce from Elysis, Emeline Laloi from IBM, and Thibault Bissonnier Gillotfrom KIABI.

Bernard Blottin from Ideuzo also gave a great presentation, reminding us of the importance of consistency in employer branding. In a world where every word is suspect, companies cannot neglect any communication channel and must ensure that their messaging is coherent across all platforms.

It’s not just about having a mission that sounds great; it’s about delivering on that mission and ensuring that it aligns with the values and beliefs of your target audience. As young talent seeks out companies that share their values and offer a positive work culture, it’s essential for employers to showcase their unique strengths and differentiate themselves from the competition.

During the event, we were pleased to have participants from a variety of companies, including Castorama France, Macopharma, McCain Foods, Rouge Gorge Lingerie, IDKIDS Group, VitamineT, MBH TALENTS, CLINITEX Propreté, ADEO, Sopra Steria Group, Crédit Agricole, Chronodrive, BRICOMAN, Élap [Editor of Software for Public Administrations], Advens, Hippocampus Events, and TalentView.

We also want to give a special mention to our top talent community partner, EDHEC Consulting Club, who came in force to confront the companies. Their participation was invaluable and contributed greatly to the success of the event.

Employer branding is a critical component of attracting young talent to companies. By showcasing their unique strengths and creating a positive image, employers can differentiate themselves from the competition and attract the best and brightest talent. We look forward to hosting more events like The Great Afterwork in the future, where we can continue to explore the latest trends and best practices in sourcing top early talent.
